In the US, 1.3 million people suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an auto-immune disorder where the immune system attacks the joints and soft tissues. Although it most frequently affects the hands and feet, it can affect the tissue of any joint in the body.


Rheumatoid Arthritis causes:

For more than 80 years, gold has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis; recently developed nanotechnology has improved this traditional treatment. 





In rheumatoid arthritis, the cells of the immune system incorrectly attack healthy cells lining the joints. A cascade of chemicals released in this reaction causes inflammation. Macrophages, a type of white blood cell, play a “critical role in the initiation, maintenance, and resolution of inflammation”. [2] Gold nanoparticles can effectively relieve rheumatoid arthritis pain by invading macrophages without killing them, thereby disrupting the unchecked inflammation that characterizes the disease. 


Science does not yet understand all the inner workings of RA, but both science and our own experiences confirm the ability of gold nanoparticles to grant relief from chronic pain and inflammation. We’ll leave you with a story from our own experience:
